The Place of a Thousand Drips is located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park along the Roaring Fork Motor Trail.  Durning wet periods in the mountains, the Place of a Thousand Drips comes to life with water pouring from the rocks creating drips, cascades, and waterfalls.  Moss covered rocks, ferns, and rhododendron add vibrant greens and lushness to the landscape.

The Aloe genus contains about 500 species of flowering succulent plants.  The most common and well known variety is Aloe Vera, which has been used in herbal medicine since the beginning of the first century AD.  Most Aloe species have a rosette of large, thick, fleshy leaves that come to a point with thorns along the sides.  When the plant flowers it gives off a tall, leafless stem and the tubular flowers emerge off the branched top.

Pali Ke Kua Beach, also known as Hideaways, is located on the north shore of Kaua'i in Princeville.  During periods of high surf, the beaches here can disappear, but when the ocean is calm (usually during the summer months) the snorkeling can be good.  Getting here is the trickly part.  A steep but paved path will bring you down if you are staying at the Pali Ke Kua Resort; otherwise, there is a small public parking lot beside the tennis courts of the Puu Poa condos.  From there a steep, often muddy path will take you down the cliff to the beach.
